Providence was born out of a 2013 merger between Providence Hall (7-12) and Santa Barbara Christian School (K-8). The Providence Board of Directors is currently redrafting the school’s mission statement. Until the new statement is introduced, the school is operating under the two entities’ mission statements, which are very closely aligned.
Providence Hall Mission Statement
The mission of Providence Hall is to enable our students to develop their intellectual competence, their personal character and integrity, their social and leadership skills, their appreciation for our national heritage, and their commitment to the historic Christian faith.
This is accomplished through a rigorous, semi-classical, curriculum directed by an energetic and competent faculty, with the cooperative support of their families, and focused on the total development of each individual student.
Santa Barbara Christian School Mission Statement
The mission of Santa Barbara Christian School is to assist students in strengthening their personal commitment to Jesus Christ, to build moral character based on biblical foundations, to equip them for leadership, to encourage them to serve others, and to pursue truth and excellence in academics.
