Kindergarten Admission Process

The Kindergarten program is a full-day, five-day-per-week program for children who are ready to begin their elementary education with a strong academic program at Providence. Children must be five years old by September 1st to qualify for the Kindergarten program.

Applying Online

Click here to begin your online application for the fall of 2018

All supplemental forms are made available through the online application and must be printed and submitted as instructed.

Note:  In consideration of the disruption due to fires and mudslides in Santa Barbara this year, we have extended the application deadlines for the 2018-2019 school year and will continue to do so as long as class space remains available.

Assessments and Parent Interviews

Readiness assessments and parent interviews will be administered for families who have submitted an application. The Office of Admission will contact you to schedule the assessment once the completed application has been received. Assessments will take approximately one hour. At the same time, parents will have a short family interview with a school official.

New student applicants for Kindergarten are required to have their current preschool or an adult who knows the child well complete a Preschool Evaluation Form and return it directly to Providence. You may download the Preschool Evaluation Form on the Applications and Forms page of the online application.

Tuition Assistance

Providence is committed to enrolling students who seek a community that encourages them to be challenged in their faith and grow intellectually.  Tuition assistance is need-based and mission-driven. The Tuition Assistance information page will provide helpful answers to questions you may have. If you wish to apply for tuition assistance, you may begin the online process from that page. Providence will work closely with you and your family to make attending Providence a reality for your family.
