Grades 1–6 Admission Process

Welcome to Providence. We are excited to share our dynamic Lower School program with you. The activities and deadlines listed below are an important part of the admission process for students entering Grades 1–6.

Applying Online

Click here to begin your online application for the fall of 2018.

All supplemental forms made available through  the online application must be printed and submitted as instructed.

Note:  In consideration of the disruption due to fires and mudslides in Santa Barbara this year, we have extended the application deadlines for the 2018-2019 school year and will continue to do so as long as class space remains available.

Assessments and Parent Interviews

Readiness assessments and parent interviews will be administered for families who have submitted an application. The Office of Admission will contact you to schedule the assessment once the completed application has been received. Assessments take approximately one hour. At the same time, parents will have a short family interview with a school official.

New student applicants for grades 1–6 are required to submit a current teacher’s observation and recommendation. You may download the Teacher’s Observation Form from the Applications and Forms section of the online application. The school at which your child is currently enrolled should send the completed form directly to:

Providence Office of Admission, Lower Campus
