Upper School Application Process

Providence selects candidates for middle and high school admission from young men and women who produce evidence they are prepared for and will contribute to a competitive, college preparatory, liberal arts education. They should be eager learners, ready to participate in classes taught by teachers who are knowledgeable and passionate about their field of study, well-trained in the art of teaching, compassionate toward and excited about the students they teach, and substantial in Christian faith, thought, and character.

Applicants for admission are considered on the basis of their overall application, a personal interview, past academic performance, ISEE entrance exam results, and letters of recommendation from recent teachers, pastors, and personal friends. Additionally, all applicants should possess strong moral character, personal integrity, enthusiasm for learning, and be in accord with the vision and mission of Providence.
