Celebrate Providence

Celebrate Providence! is our fundraising auction and dinner. This year’s event, “A Seaside Soiree,” will be hosted at the Rosewood Miramar Beach Resort on Friday, March 15, 2019. We will be one of the very first local organizations using this beautiful venue following its grand re-opening.

We are excited for the opportunity to celebrate the heritage of our school and God’s provision for Christian education in Santa Barbara. We are grateful to Colette Nottage Crafton and Melissa Kuykendall for co-chairing this event, along with the committee members listed at the right.

Cocktail Hour and Silent Auction

“A Seaside Soiree” will begin on the Miramar’s Great Lawn overlooking the exquisite property and the Pacific Ocean. During cocktail hour, guests will be serenaded by the homegrown talent of Providence faculty musicians as they peruse and bid on a fabulous array of silent auction items and “Providence Socials”—parties and activities donated by families, local businesses, and organizations.

Dinner, Program, and Live Auction

A dinner program will be held in the Chandelier Ballroom, where guests seated beneath stunning Baccarat chandeliers will be delighted by the ambiance as they enjoy a lovely, locally inspired meal. The evening’s program will include music and film elements that tell the story and heritage of our beloved school. To close out the evening, guests will enjoy an animated live auction.

What to Wear

Formal attire is encouraged. It is suggested that men wear tuxes, dinner jackets, or suits. (Online services such as theblacktux.com have affordable options.) Women are encouraged to wear long or short formal gowns, cocktail dresses, or semi-formal dresses. Bear in mind that the cocktail hour and silent auction are on the lawn. Heel caps for spiked-heel shoes will be provided.
