YOU WERE MADE TO CREATE. TO BE CREATIVE. TO COMMUNICATE AND EXPRESS ALL THAT IS WITHIN YOU:  ALL THAT IS TRUE, BEAUTIFUL, AND GOOD.

Providence’s vision for the arts is to give students opportunities to voice and express their creativity and talents in the classroom, on stage, and in the community. It is through these experiences that students learn more about the beauty in God’s creation and the complexities of human life and relationships, and how to make an impact on society and culture. From running the sound booth to designing the stage for the spring drama or musical, Providence thespians are trained and participate in the entire theater production process. From late-night rehearsals to challenging choreography, from road trips to performing the annual Service of Lessons and Carols in a historic stone church, performing arts students do it all.

Visual artists take drawing and painting and photography classes and display their work in a gallery setting accompanied by student musicians. Our two-fold approach of classroom instruction and production experience provides each student a dynamic and enriching arts education.

The visual and performing arts are a vital part of Providence. Our visual artists have frequent opportunities to create and display their drawings, paintings, sculpture, and photography. Performing artists have a choice of two choral ensembles. They present a worshipful Lessons and Carols program at Christmas, a spring concert, and perform at school and community events and in choral festivals. Theatrical productions may be dramatic or musical or a combination; past productions have included You’re a Good Man, Charlie BrownTwelfth Night, and The Importance of Being Earnest.
