Spring Choral Concert

The Providence spring concert features the high school Chorale, the middle school Chorus, and the youth ensemble, Laudate, which includes children from grades 3-6.

The sanctuary of San Roque Catholic Church, adjacent to the Providence School Preschool—Grade 6 campus, will reverberate with a mix of choral and instrumental music spanning the ages, featuring an eclectic program of folk songs, hymns, and world music, all under the direction of Dr. Matthew Roy.

The concert theme, “This Is My Father’s World,” celebrates God’s creation and our place in it. Through poignant texts and stirring musical settings, all are invited to consider how we respond to the natural world: the joy and awe we find in the vastness of the night stars, the grief we feel in the fallenness of the world, and the hope we feel in the promise of the new heavens and new earth. Student photography will provide a visual correlation to this meditative experience.

The program will also highlight the many ways Providence students are involved in ministries that seek to honor and serve God’s creation, including his people.

A reception follows in the parish hall.
