Celebrating the Class of 2020 with an In-Person Commencement Ceremony

June 3, 2020 by Elaine Rottman

New guidelines from the public health department have made it possible for Class of 2020 members to receive their diplomas and listen to faculty speeches personalized for each student in an in-person commencement ceremony. To keep the group size under 100 people, as required by the county, only graduates, their parents, and upper school faculty members will be invited to attend. Masks are required and social distancing protocols will be followed.

The ceremony will take place on Friday, June 12, at 6 pm in the San Roque campus courtyard. Live streaming will make it available to all who would like to watch.

Seniors will also enjoy a special drive-through Grand Prix-themed celebration for “crossing the finish line” on Friday, June 5, at 5 pm on the Canon Perdido campus. Participants will be required to stay in their cars, with the exception of an opportunity for each senior to exit the car individually for a keepsake photo with the Patriot mascot.
