Providence’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Olivia Bates

“Olivia is a bit of a Renaissance woman,” said Marc Gamberdella, award sponsor, as he presented Providence senior Olivia Bates with the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table’s “Scholar Athlete of the Year” award. 

The multi-talented member of the Class of 2021 is captain of the volleyball team, ASB president, an honors student, an active member of Providence’s Libertas Scholars program for intensive learning and discussion in the humanities, a musician, and an avid community volunteer. She takes AP-level classes and carries a 4.76 GPA.
