Marketable Securities

Donating highly appreciated assets, such as stocks or real estate, can be a powerful strategy to advance an important mission using funds that might otherwise be unavailable due to tax ramifications if the shares or property were to be sold outright. Providence has the tools in place to accept gifts of marketable securities and would be happy to talk about  how to leverage resources that you may have thought of as unavailable before.

For assistance making a gift of stock, please call Caroline Corazza, advancement director, at 805-962-3091 x117.

To transfer stock electronically, instruct your broker to wire stock to Capital Wealth, DTC # 0164, indicating it is for credit to Providence School, account #96789727. Please authorize your broker to give us your name, name of stock, and number of shares being transferred, so that we can properly thank you.
