Lower School

At Providence, we strive for academic excellence and a nurturing school environment. Enthusiastic teachers guide students step-by-step in acquiring academic skills, encouraging them to think critically, to develop a sense of personal responsibility, and to grow in their love for learning. The core academic program focuses on reading, composition, grammar, spelling, mathematics, science, Bible, and history. Enrichment classes enhance the core curriculum with Spanish, art, music, and physical education. Elementary students regularly use a library designed for their needs.

We believe that academics and character go hand in hand and education becomes useful when it is put to use for a greater purpose. To that end, our classroom time is combined with opportunities to serve our community. We strive to prepare our students to meet their future academic, professional, and spiritual challenges with knowledge, grace, and good character.

We are fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Our small class sizes and credentialed teachers ensure that each classroom meets the highest possible standards.
