Service Learning

At Providence, we view service as integral to our life as Christians. We endeavor to carry out the biblical principle of stewardship of our time, talent, and resources in service to others in the greater Santa Barbara community, and beyond. Students are encouraged to examine their hearts, interests, and gifts and to match these with needs in the community.

Philia Project

Every fall and spring, Providence middle and high school students dedicate a day to community service. This event is called the Philia Project. Philia is one of four Greek words for “love” and this project allows students to demonstrate both their love for their school and for their community.
